It’s good to see you! My name is Lauren VanDerwerken—I’m a cinematographer and photographer currently located in sunny LA.

My favorite approach is to let my work speak for itself, so I’ll keep it short. My approach to filmmaking is that if it turns out technically perfect but doesn’t capture the emotion of the story, we missed the point. I love the collaboration of filmmaking—it’s so gratifying to do my part to communicate something that speaks to the audience in some way.
